The subject of this Diplomatic thesis is the presentation of the terms of machine learning and
artificial intelligence, which have already entered our lives for good as they are rapidly
evolving, and which are believed to create new data and developments in the field of business.
The paper begins with the analysis of the concept of machine learning, historical review,
relationship with artificial intelligence and its applications in everyday life. Special reference
is made to the legislation that is being developed around artificial intelligence as well as to
ethics. Next, modern tools for making strategic decisions are presented, as well as data analysis
and business intelligence applications. This is followed by a section that analyzes how machine
learning could be combined with strategic decision-making and corresponding tools that
already exist.
Finally, an attempt is made to draw conclusions regarding the future situation that will be
driven by the rapid development of technologies that are increasingly invading our daily lives,
as well as business processes.
