It is well known that tourism is an important source of revenue for our country. A term that exists from a long time ago but over time its importance for the market becomes more and more interesting. People employed in this sector are constantly looking for new data and technologies to become more competitive.
Tourism advertising plays a particularly important role nowadays since it is the most direct communication with the consumer-tourist. After the spectacular technological development that we are experiencing in the 21st century, advertising is now firmly connected to the internet. The promotion of tourism businesses on social media and the internet is what brings the best results both in business and in general in the promotion of Greek tourism international.
The aim of this paper is to define and study the two major concepts of Tourism and marketing , to see whether these two concepts are related to each other and what is ultimately the role of online advertising for the consumer. The questionnaire created for this research has contributed to the immediacy of the above results.
All of the above are analyzed in detail with concepts, definitions, characteristics and economic data in the following chapters.
