In recent years, the interest in the business field has been focused on the pursuit of sustainable business operations. Recognizing the enormous challenges to the sustainable operation of businesses, it is now important to adopt sustainable practices that can meet the challenges and needs of our era. In this context, emphasis can be placed on the promotion of strategic management, as it is considered that the application of its core principles is a prerequisite for modern businesses to meet the demands of an ever-changing environment.
Based on the strategy that companies are required to follow, it is important to adopt the key principles of quality, which are based on the commitment and involvement of management, the identification of legislative requirements, the requirements of customers, and the strengthening the confidence and involvement of staff. The concepts of total quality and total quality management are generally used in a manner consistent with the quality strategy. It is also clear that the world market is now a competitive and ever-changing space, where both innovation and quality play an important role in the sustainable operation of businessess and can enhance their competitive advantage and contribute to its sustainable development.
Understanding, therefore, the role of strategy and the role of quality through the adoption of the core principles of Total Quality Management, it was chosen to be implemented this stud, focusing on investigating and evaluating their role in the operation of the businesses involved in the pharmaceutical industry. Utilizing the case study, this study provided an opportunity to understand the importance of strategic management in enhancing the competitive advantage of the pharmaceutical company Genesis Pharma.
