This thesis investigates the issue of commercial port security. The aim is to achieve holistic control and
safety assessment, which include both the physical security of the facilities, and the security of their
information systems.
Initially we identify the gaps in existing laws, standards and risk management tools. Then we study
CYSM, as a possible solution to address the above gaps.
In the specific work is analysed the CYSM tool which aims the security of the ports. Its propose is to
offer to the ports the possibility to improve the current security and the insurance level, giving them
new,friendly to the user,individual services for insurance managment,which can help them solve
problems that exist either to the cyberspace or to their natural infrastructure.
