Ψηφιακός μετασχηματισμόςAbstract
Financial technology can be applied across the entire spectrum of financial services, products, and infrastructures, and is made possible through new technologies. Technological developments such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and distributed ledger technology (DLT) have offered new possibilities in modern banking, such as mobile payments, open banking, crowdfunding, virtual currencies, and robo-advisory services.
Its application in the banking system has led to the digital transformation of banks and has brought many changes both to their internal operations and to the services and products they offer, as well as to their approach to customers. The benefits are significant, such as reductions in costs and transaction times, increased efficiency and transparency, and the provision of high-level services even in remote areas. On the other hand, there are of course security risks that must be continuously addressed, as well as the risk of marginalizing individuals who are technologically disadvantaged.
In Greece, systemic banks are implementing digital transformation programs in order to become the preferred choice of customers. The level of digital maturity is high, even when compared with international data, and the current effort mainly lies in finding a balance between the physical branch network and digital channels.
This study records all the products and services offered through the e-banking platforms of the systemic banks. From their comparative examination, it emerges that to a very large extent similar products and services are offered.
In the conclusions, improvements and continuous upgrades are proposed for the products offered, for security, and for ease of use by the end user.
