Abstract

In this thesis we are developing an automated system that detects falls and inform the healthcare system to send help. For this reason, we developed two applications, an Android App and a web App. The Android App is responsible for the fall detection and requesting for help. The detection happens via the use of the data provided by the mobile devices (cell phones and tablets) accelerometer. After a fall has been detected we send the location data to a centralized database. The systems backend can be found in A.
