This diploma thesis aims to present the methods of strategy which are used by Insurance Companies to show growth and to discover the most appropriate strategies in a period of economic recession and disorganization of Social Security.
Research shows that, despite of the economic downturn, the consumer interest in buying insurance products has increased with the help of new internet approaches. Customer satisfaction is a key factor for the existence of insurance companies. Of course, there are existing customers who demand a premium reduction or deduction of some insurance coverages due to economic circumstances.
The present diploma thesis consists of two parts. The first part analyzes the strategies used in the theoretical framework in the companies in general as well as the analysis of the insurance market and in the second part the methods applied to most insurance companies and leading to profitable growth. It also mentions the methods of strategy which apply to the insurance company “AXA Insurance” that lead the company to profitability despite the changing environment and the strong competitiveness that prevails and analyzes the current situation of the specific company.
The analysis of the company refers to the presentation of its object, the AXA Group to which belongs and the strategies that follows.
