The aim of this thesis was the development and design of an Advanced Information System for the Lab Reservations of University of Piraeus. The system is called "Unipi Lab Reservation System" and the users to whom it addresses, are all the University Professors. More specifically, we had to develop the Mobile version of the system, which should be accessible from mobile devices with small screens (e.g. smaller than 6 inches). The web development methods which we examined and partially based on, are Responsive and Adaptive Web design. Through the use of these methods, the end result can be a fully functional and adaptive system. In the following sections of the current Thesis, we are presenting the user manual and the Architecture on which our system has been based. The web development technologies that have been used are HTML, PHP, SQL, JavaScript(JQuery), CSS and AJAX. Furthermore, we searched for similar open source web applications, in order to be determined the details of both the Design and Requirement Analysis. After that, we decided to keep all the beneficial elements of the presented alternative systems and at the same time we expanded our system with all the functionalities we would like to see as if we were potential users of the system. Finally, even with the use of older but reliable web development technologies, we concluded that it is feasible to create a modern and fully adaptive Advanced Information System, which is user friendly and covers all functions a user could ask for.
