The objective of this study is to investigate the current Debt Crisis that causes distress in particular, the countries of Europe and the United States, which in most cases, is a consequence of the global financial crisis during the period 2007–2009. The countries facing the greatest problems, due to overcharging are, Greece, Ireland, Portugal, Spain and Italy, while Germany, France and the United Kingdom, which are their main sponsors, are also trapped within the grip of, especially over-indebtedness. Also, the United States, lift a huge burden of debt, since owing to the above trillion dollars.
The investigation is carried out, having as nucleus, the Debt Networks that are formed by the five heavily indebted countries of the euro zone with the main funders, namely France, Germany and the United Kingdom, as well as the Debt Networks that are formed by the basic funders, both among themselves and with the United States.
Each Debt Network is represented as an array, but also in the form of a chart. Then, for each Debt Network, the Maximum Flow is calculated and the Maximum Network Flow Chart is plotted. In addition, a table is created, with all the routes (and their constituent arcs), whose flow capacities, when aggregated, give us the overall Maximum Network Flow.
The results obtained from this survey, showing the difficult position in which will reach, Germany, France and the United Kingdom, in the event of insolvency of a Eurozone country – member, because their own banks, maintain most of the external debt of the other countries.
