The increasing environmental and social pressure on businesses makes sustainable management essential for improving the operational efficiency and long-term resilience of hotel units. Digital transformation and the adoption of new technologies can significantly enhance the transition to more sustainable practices, as they facilitate process control, reduce operating costs, improve the guest experience, and support environmentally responsible choices. This thesis seeks to develop a theoretical background and conceptual framework that explains how the combination of these dimensions can lead to strategies for improved environmental, social, and economic performance in hotels, serving as a guide for researchers and entrepreneurs in the industry. The objective of this thesis is to explore the relationship between sustainable development and digital transformation in the hotel industry through the analysis of case studies involving real companies that implement sustainable and digital transformation practices. The findings of the research reveal that the integration of sustainable practices, combined with the use of technologies, despite the obstacles and challenges, can lead to the development of important capabilities, such as improving sustainable impact and financial results, increasing competitiveness, and strengthening the position of businesses in the market. It is therefore recommended that sustainable practices and digital technologies be continuously adopted in order to maintain the relevance and competitiveness of the hospitality industry in the future.
