The present work introduces a digital course designed to support the
professional development of primary school teachers in the teaching of
geometric shapes in the third grade, through contemporary pedagogical and
technological approaches. The course has been structured to promote the
gradual and meaningful acquisition of knowledge through small, targeted
learning units (microlearning), which facilitate the progressive construction of
understanding and the active engagement of teachers in the learning process. The approach combines theoretical directions from the Didactics of
Mathematics with experiential and practical activities, focusing on the
development of skills related to the effective presentation of geometric
concepts to students. The use of interactive applications and game-based e-learning elements contributes to the creation of a dynamic, engaging, and
pedagogically consistent learning environment that fosters collaboration, autonomy, and inquiry-based learning. The implementation of the digital course was examined in terms of the clarity of
learning objectives, the scientific validity and completeness of the content, the
usability of the platform, and the effectiveness of the activities in promoting

active learning and the development of teaching skills. The results indicate that
the use of digital tools and game-based learning can serve as a highly effective
method of teacher training, as it promotes interactivity, flexibility, and
personalized learning, while simultaneously enhancing pedagogical and
instructional effectiveness in the classroom. Overall, this digital course highlights the potential of new technologies in
supporting teachers’ professional development and underscores the
importance of connecting theory with practical application within the
framework of a modern, game-based, and interactive training environment. Keywords:
