The aim of this master's thesis is to design, develop and evaluate a digital course aimed at primary school teachers, with the aim of training them in differentiated and inclusive teaching of the Language subject in the 5th grade. Through the use of digital tools, such as Google Form, Padlet, Book Creator, Mentimeter, Canva, Genially, Vocaroo, E-me and Google Docs, and microlearning, teachers acquire knowledge and skills to adapt the content, process and product of learning to the individual needs of students, including those with Special Educational Needs. The course incorporates the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), promoting the provision of multiple means of representation, expression and engagement, to ensure the participation of all students in the educational environment. In addition, resources from the 5th Grade Language book ebooks are integrated (Student Book A/B/C Issue and Workbook A Issue), while the Google Classroom platform supports the implementation of the micro-lessons.
The learning objectives include recognizing principles of inclusion and UDL, identifying barriers to participation, designing differentiated comprehension and speech production activities, using digital tools for accessible activities, and collaborating with parents and colleagues. Tools such as Pixton, WordArt, Kahoot, and TTS Maker are presented through video tutorials, without being used directly. The course evaluation includes qualitative and quantitative data, such as feedback and completion rates, to verify its effectiveness. By providing applicable solutions for the integration of digital technologies, the work strengthens inclusive education in the Greek education system.
