This thesis presents the creation of an open-world environment in Unity, where the player will be able to freely explore the space (in this case, the player is asked to explore and climb to the top of the mountain) and interact with various NPCs. NPCs will act as obstacles or opponents, presenting trials and challenges that the player must overcome, as well as facing other types of obstacles and puzzles as they traverse to the top of the mountain. The implementation will include the creation of a 3D environment, the use of scripts for movement and interactions, as well as combat and mission mechanics. Upon completion of all challenges, the player will achieve the final goal of the game. The purpose of the thesis is to develop an interactive and engaging game that promotes exploration, challenge solving and strategic interaction with NPCs, offering a complete open-world experience to the player.
