The challenges facing students with learning disabilities are highly diverse and require continuous research and evaluation of effective teaching approaches and intervention methods. The purpose of the present Master's thesis is the design and implementation of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) , for supporting students with specific learning disabilities in the school environment, which is addressed to primary school teachers. The MOOC entitled "Specific Learning Disabilities - Definition, Characteristics and Educational Interventions" is designed to empower teachers with the required knowledge, skills and competencies in order to enable them to establish an inclusive learning environment, that caters to the varied and diverse needs of students with specific learning disabilities. By applying effective teaching practices and providing a supportive learning environment for students with specific learning difficulties, teachers can turn the classroom into an enjoyable school setting, that contributes to the personal development of students and enhances their learning experience. This digital course, designed according to the principles of microlearning, incorporating rich visual, multimedia and interactive content. Furthermore, the findings and conclusions revealed through the literature review, were considered for designing and implementing of the MOOC. The MOOC is developed on a learning management system (LMS) platform and is fully evaluated regarding its content, design and implementation. It is expected that the findings of the present study will positively enhance the professional development of primary school teachers, in order to improve the learning experience of students with specific learning disabilities.
