Abstract
The concept of the Metaverse has existed for many years; however, interest in it significantly increased during the months of quarantine and restrictions due to the global pandemic of 2020. Users can navigate the Metaverse using an avatar, a digital representation of themselves, which they can customize with features of their liking through virtual reality. In the Metaverse, fashion houses see opportunities for more intensive communication with customers, leveraging virtual fashion shows, clothing trials, and the use of NFTs for digital products. Predictions for the future include the contribution of artificial intelligence, the awakening of fashion with augmented reality, the revolution of Web 3.0, interoperability, and the dominance of digital fashion. The Metaverse is expected to create opportunities and challenges, reshaping the fashion industry and allowing more personalized and interactive experiences for consumers, promoting the use of virtual clothing, and addressing challenges such as ethical issues and cybersecurity.
