The aim of this paper is to clarify what exactly constitutes culture whether it is tangible or intangible. In order to achieve this objective I have consulted foreign language articles and bibliography so as to be able to scientifically substantiate each definition that is put forward. Furthermore, in this paper I wish to present concrete examples of intangible cultural heritage. For this purpose, I listened to video interviews about the weaving art and thus, apart from the archival material, the bibliography, I was able to learn the names of weavers who still nowadays actively practice their profession and aim both to develop it and to spread and transmit it to the next generations. After my personal recording of the names , I sought a way to get in personal contact with the weavers myself. Regarding the part I devoted to the weaving art, I would like to point out that I focused on cases that cultivate the art of the right loom which, according to the weavers, has origins in antiquity ,something that by searching for articles I was able to confirm , namely that there are similarities between the right looms of antiquity and the modern ones. The weavers I contacted weave on a rectilinear loom.
