In this thesis we will develop the issue of competition policies in digital markets. Our analysis will be made understandable through a historical and literature review concerning the development of e-commerce and digital era. The impetus for the writing of this thesis is the article of T. Piñeiro-Otero, X. Martínez-Rolán «Understanding digital marketing—basics and actions», which analyzes in detail the practices followed by digital marketing. After examining the function of digital markets and online platform, a clear distinction will be made between healthy competition policies and unfair competition policies and specific examples of the practices followed in each case will be given. Finally, Reference will be made to the great importance of o company operating ant participating in digital market, but also to the need to reduce unfair competition, an issue which has been raised by the European Commission for many years and quite severely.
