In today's highly competitive and interconnected business environment, the effective
selection of suppliers is one of the most important issues facing businesses. For this reason,
companies face stiff competition that forces them to focus on improving quality, reducing
operating costs and improving delivery time. Therefore, they must be very effective in meeting
the dynamics of market demands and be open to changes in cost, quality and suppliers. market

Existing research on supply chain relationships suggests that one of the underlying
tensions between supply chain partners is that of opposing perspectives and goals in the
customer-supplier relationship. In today's business world with constant flow requirements,
suppliers are often asked to meet specific requests made by their customers rather than part of
the contractual arrangement.
The supplier selection process is very important for companies as they select the right
suppliers that meet the needs of the companies strategy and bring drastic financial benefits.
Specifically, this research is based on literature from many disciplines to examine a case study in
a restaurant, Mc Donald’s. The conclusions suggest that supplier adaptation and flexibility have
positive relationship effects.
