In Greece, the food and beverage sector covers vital needs of the population, as it happens worldwide. The special feature of this industry is that it is directly related to the agricultural sector; a feature that becomes even more evident in the wine sector. Wine production starts with the farmer, proceeds to the winemaker, and it ends up in distribution. Therefore, its importance is great; since on the one hand, it supports farmers but also wine producers, and on the other hand sectors of activities such as tourism and trade. So, in the present dissertation we are dealing with a very specific type of wine, retsina, which has roots that date back to antiquity and more specifically the company Malamatina. For the needs of the study and to draw conclusions in relation to the company Malatina and its future, we conducted a survey using a questionnaire. The survey took place from 31/07/2021 to 30/9/2021 and a total of 167 questionnaires were collected. The analysis of the results of the questionnaire in relation to the consumer habits that characterize wine and retsina, but also in combination with the results that emerged for the consumer relationship with retsina Malamatina, shows that there is room for development of its product, and increasing its sales in the next period is something that can be achieved through the adoption of appropriate business strategies.
