The present study examines the opinion and existence of sustainable development in Greek companies, according to the literature. At the second level, the adoption of sustainable development practices and the influence on the strategy of Greek companies in terms of business performance and competitive advantage are investigated. At the third level, the sustainable development practices, categorized into the 3 pillars, are correlated in relation to competitive advantage. At the beginning of the research, reference is made to the history of sustainability, TBL, SDG, SDG in Greece, and the relationship of SDG with companies. In addition, reference to TBL relationship with businesses, viability measurement systems that can be followed, and strategy is made. After, the description of research methodology and the theoretical research model is presented. Detailed report is made to the design of the questionnaire, the measurements, the data collection, and the response rate. Finally, the results of the questionnaire are analysed, using the univariate statistic and the use of SPSS 27 for multivariate correlations. In conclusion, the results showed that Greek companies are aware of sustainable development and follow sustainability practices. Finally, the moderate correlation in the economic and social pillar with the competitive advantage is emerged.
