In the present dissertation the spatial models in the banking sector were developed. From the literature the two main spatial models were the linear model developed by Hotelling and the circular model developed by Salop. This paper based on these two models dealt with the application of models in banking. Important elements of the paper were the location of the banks, the transfer costs, the services offered to the entrepreneurs (borrowers) but also the number of banks that exist in the market. This is due to the barrier that may exist in a larger number of banks that want to enter the market.
Next, the paper examined the application of patterns in banking both from the point of view of households, ie which bank they will choose to deposit their money, and from the point of view of banks that try to attract entrepreneurs (borrowers).
An extension of the model on how the entry of foreign banks is affected by the spillover phenomenon and the increase of competition in the banking sector was then extended. Finally, with the use of excel some numerical examples were made to examine some quantities but also how they are affected by changing the variables.
