The current feasibility study aims to help draw conclusions concerning the investment plans of a well-known Cosmetics Company, established abroad.
The intense competition in this particular market (Cosmetic’s market) and the pressure has led the Company’s new Leader to design and plan new strategies, with intention to boost profitability and strengthen the Company’s market position.
As a result, they are focusing on expanding in new markets by opening new Stores. Therefore a question arises: Is the Greek Market – more specifically Athens, the right place to launch one of the new stores?
In the present analysis, we will examine in detail the environment in which the company will operate (the new store) and therefore will be identifying the company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, to further examine if there are good prospects for growth. At the same time, all the available data extracted from SWOT analysis, PEST analysis, Business Model Canvas and Discount Techniques will be used to better evaluate the investment. The analysis is crucial to the Company’s management since it will help them make more efficient decisions concerning this financial investment plan.
Following the findings of the Study, the investment plan seems quite profitable though it leaves room for reflection. Eventually, the final decision on the level of attractiveness of this project is left to the investor (Company’s management) as it relates to the indifference curve and Opportunity cost vs. other similar options. (Being able to open a store in another city).
