Technology and business activity are now closely integrated. The effects of technological development on the domestic and global economy are actually responsible for this fact. This master thesis deals with the Techno-economic analysis and evaluation of the Establishment of a Vinification Unit, the objective of which is to investigate the viability of creating a modern and innovative winery in the region of Epirus. The winery, with export potential, will produce and process quality wine. Moreover, an additional business activity is to organize regular wine tasting events. The first chapter is an introductory part of the master thesis and describes the basic idea of the investment as well as the investor's details. We present a historical review of the investment plan and the pre-investment cost. The investment program is also presented with the key elements and the results. In the second chapter, we analyze the wine industry both domestically and internationally. Also, the prospects of the industry are presented. In the first half of the third chapter, we formulate the strategy of the company through the study of the generalized macro - environment, the assessment of the attractiveness of the sector as well as the SWOT analysis of the investor. At the same time, the triptych of sustainability is a critical point for the business and that is why we are studying it. The basic strategies followed by the winery are based on the aforementioned analysis. In the second half of the third chapter, we define the marketing strategy on the basis of which the marketing program is designed - 4 P's. The fourth chapter, presents the winery operating plan. In particular, raw materials and other supplies, the used technology, the capacity allocation and the production program are determined. Furthermore, we present the architectural plan and the vinification procedures with the required mechanical equipment. Moreover, research has been carried out in the field of the unit’s organizational structure as well as for the human resources needs. Finally, the timetable for the implementation of the investment project is presented. In chapter five, we analyze financially the investment and we evaluate the viability of the investment plan. Both of them are the conclusions of this master thesis. Methodologically, this master thesis has been based on both primary and secondary data. Primary data came from a personal survey conducted with the suppliers of raw materials and other winemaking supplies as well as with the building’s facilities manufacturers and the machinery suppliers.
