This dissertation was developed in the framework of the Piraeus University's Postgraduate Program «Informatics» in the department of Computer Science and deals with the development of a WordPress software. It is an educational software that is based on Albert Bandura's Social Learning Theory, who is also described as the "father" of this theory.
The basic terms Albert Bandura's Social Learning Theory are:
1. Triadic Reciprocal Causation Model / Triadic determinism model
2. Learning through modeling
3. Self-Efficacy - Expectations of Self-Efficacy
This software, which is based on the Triadic determinism model, aims to acquire and consolidate a particular field of mathematics knowledge in the first grade of secondary school (equations of degree I) through observation and imitation of a model. It is also designed in such a way that aims to increase student’s self-efficacy expectations, which according to the Social Learning Theory, lead to an increase in school performance.
