It is a fact that the Electronic Medical Record Patient is a contemporary implementation of informational system in the health sector, and in practice it is of utmost importance to collect the largest possible amount of information for a clearest insight of the patient’s condition. Τhis paper deals with the expansion of the functions and potential of a traditional medical record. Considering the above information, an EMRP is being designed and developed using modern technologies, databases and web tools. The importance of this application consists in the fact that the data of the medical record are stored in a database providing an easy accessibility at any time the Doctor need them for processing and coming to the right conclusions with regard past history-examinations and future decisions-policies. At the same time it provides the ability to pump statistical information concerning the registered patients, and also regarding the inheritance of some diseases. Organizing the chapters of the current project, it is primarily and briefly presented the approach of the issue from a medical and technological aspect. Thus, this paper first of all describes the role of the Medical Record of the Patient continues with a brief historical review and emphasizes the importance of the electronic record. Next, there is a reference on the current standards for the Electronic Medical Records and the Information Healthcare Systems on the market nowadays. Furthermore, there are presented researches on diseases which are inherited, so as considering these data, the doctor can assess the possibility of a patient to become ill, providing statistics in charts. Finally an Electronic Health Record System of Patient is designed and implemented in the field of Medical Science, the data requirements for the design and creation of a database are determined and finally the programming languages, the technologies and the tools used and applied are presented. The application is designed to work in the online web environment. It demands username and password to login and the integrity of the application is achieved by using session cookies.
