This thesis has main subject of research the presentation of the meaning, performance and implementation of the methodology of "Six Sigma" (6σ) in modern private enterprises and also, in public enterprises and organizations. Therefore, this paper focuses on two main areas of study which are as follows: a ) In quantitative but mainly, in qualitative characteristics of the "Six Sigma" (6σ), b) In cases studies through two examples of companies, analyzed in detail the course of the implementation methodology and implementation of the "Six Sigma" (6σ) in firms combined with the principles of the Lean Management and Production. Thus, the primary objective of this work is accurate and objective record to the reality of the "Six Sigma" (6σ). More specifically, it is the search for deeper causes and effects of the implementation of this approach in modern enterprises. Therefore, the final mission of this thorough study is arriving at useful conclusions, so that is a very important tool of strategic management within an enterprise or and within an organization. Furthermore, it becomes a significant reference in a separate chapter for the methodology of Lean Manufacturing and in general, for the Lean Management and also, its relation to the methodology of "Six Sigma" (6σ), like the Lean "Six Sigma" (6σ). Then, it becomes connection between the Lean "Six Sigma" (6σ) with strategic management, namely if consists an important tool for decision making by strategic management or general by administration of an enterprise or an organization. Firstly, the method which followed in this thesis for the secondary data consists searching of bibliography through websites, books, papers and also, from the respective theses on the methodology of "Six Sigma" (6σ). Moreover, primary and secondary data’s thesis are combined in such a way that they lead to useful conclusions and therefore, reliable solutions from enterprises and organizations which implement this methodology. Finally, they are proposed a list of new proposals in important issues for coming future investigations, which refers mainly on the "Six Sigma" (6σ) offering, so a better and more comprehensive view of the specific methodology.
