The aim of this thesis is the analysis of Plaisio’s Group, through accounting and financial analysis of financial data of the company, and the identification of strategic methods followed so the profitability of a recession. By analyzing the key financial figures (turnover, costs, inventories, profits, dividends) of the enterprise based on the annual financial classify and financial analysis of the latter through ratios (ratios of liquidity, structural funds and viability, efficiency, activity relevant to liquidity) was an attempt to reflect the economic situation of the group as a result of the strategic methods chosen by the administration for the period 2009-2015.
It was found that the group has shaped its strategy to reduce inventories, increase of cash and liquidity, reduce credit to their customers, reduce costs through reduction of debt, reduction of input costs (pursuit less price goods market) and the non-renewal of staff and investment in the existing education. These were accompanied by investments to strengthen the organization of the business, product promotion (marketing) and better customer service. Thus, as seen from the analysis through ratios, it maintained good liquidity and profitability levels to remain profitable through the recession. Therefore, the model of the strategic choices of the enterprise in question, based on the financial results and the financial analysis is a useful guide for the profitability of similar enterprises in recession.
