Development of a smartphone application that creates products' QR
code and displays information about them
The development of an application for mobiles, which is called ProductBook
and serves suppliers. The particular application gives them the opportunity to
present and promote their products. It includes the following steps:
1) the supplier will take photo the product with her/his smartphone and s/he will
upload the particular photo to the application.
2) the supplier will fill in an appropriate form giving details-information about the
product.
3) the application will upload these data to a site (the application will create a site for
each product that describes it) for which it will determine a unique URL.
4) the application will automatically generate a QR code for the product and it will
return it as an image to the producer (who can use it e.g. for printing).
Then any customer will have the opportunity to be informed about the product
and order it, downloading a simple application that reads QR code, on her/his
mobile phone. In particular, the customer will photograph the QR code of the
product and then the application will "open" the product's site. Therefore, the
customer will be able to identify the product, to be informed about it, to contact with
the supplier of the product and order it.
