The recent developments in the telecommunications and the wireless technology have increased the new appliances and the systems that emit electromagnetic (EM) energy of radiofrequency (RFJ). The application οf these developments has as result big number of individuals exposed in of radiofrequencies and electromagnetic fields In their labor space or more generally in public spaces. The new technologies (developed or under development) in the wireless communications are described, as well as various types of antennas, that can cause increasing levels of exposure In not-ionizing radiation (MIR) in the workplace or in general public. Following, the effects in human health are examined, not only the thermal effects, but also potential different dangers of Illnesses. The guidelines of the International Commission on Non - Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) provide advice for the permissible levels of exposure that cover the entire spectrum οf not ionizing radiation (NIRJ), including the radiofrequencies (RFs) that are used in the new technologies. The legal frame in Greece and internationally is described and potential new measures of prevention, and re¬sults from measurements are presented.
