Abstract

Free software is software that allows everyone the freedom to use, distribute, study, to improve and redistribute. The acceptance and use of FOSS in the world, developed in conjunction with the movement for better utilization and allocation of public and common goods. This movement puts the sector of public commons and the antithesis of private economic activity, so that areas complement each other, improve together and be mutually controlled to remain within limits that serve the public interest. Today the FOSS has an abundance of mature applications that find application and play a key role in e-Government. The e-Government, or else the digital information services and transactions between government and citizens of a country, is today one of the fastest growing segments of the new economy. The results of the entrance of this technological revolution are now visible to everyone. Investigations have been made after the entry of e-Government most powerful economies in the world have shown that technological support significantly strengthened many areas, which operate more efficiently and more transparently
