Abstract
The present study concludes that the Cooperative banks exhibit distinct differences from commercial banks in terms of structure, performance and risk. They also serve different goals. The above findings lead to the conclusion that Cooperative banks' operation is supplementary to the operation of the other banks, both from the point of view of their customers as well as their shareholders.
