As part of this thesis was studied in detail the basic principles and fundamental concepts of electronic remote training environments. We present a detailed report on the design principles and architecture of the environments with emphasis on security. The thesis evaluates existing platforms and proposes criteria that should establish the foundation, design and pedagogical, of any future implementation effort. The concept of the Semantic Web analyzed in order to confirm the inextricable relationship with the e-learning interfaces. Finally, models of evaluation platforms are studied as a basis for future applications of personalization algorithms in the educational process from a distance.
