In today's era when the work environment is constantly changing, the need to provide high and quality health services is at the highest stake and technological developments are rapid, the development of professional and administrative skills is essential to enable employees to respond to new roles, responsibilities and duties. At the same time, digital transformation is essential and necessary in all sectors and especially in the health sector.
The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how and to what extent the factors of leadership behavior, organizational commitment, psychological empowerment, interpersonal communication and collaboration contribute to the formation of Collective Entrepreneurship, what are the individual dimensions of Collective Entrepreneurship that emerge empirically and what are the structural relationships (or interaction relationships) that are formed between them.
To investigate the above, an extensive analysis of the literature was initially carried out, which described health systems, human resource management, the skills of the modern leader and managers, as well as the human dimensions of the work environment.
A quantitative survey was then conducted in a Greek public hospital using a questionnaire tool. Most of the research results led to the verification of specific hypotheses that have already been supported in the literature as listed, as well as to the extraction of useful additional conclusions. Possible interpretations are formulated for some of the research results that do not have a bibliographic background.
The main findings of the thesis support the hypothesis that employees who feel more competent and committed to the organization tend to exhibit more creative behavior and contribution. It is also demonstrated by the research that teamwork is favored by emotional connection to the organization, leadership that shows understanding, creative behavior and contribution of team members. Finally, perceived organizational support is enhanced by emotional support from leaders, effective interpersonal communication, the existence of trusting relationships and teamwork, while it is limited the more competent employees feel. Finally, Creative Contribution and Behavior contributes positively to Teamwork, which in turn has a positive impact on Perceived Organizational Support.
The conclusions of the thesis suggest that a hospital that focuses on moral support, teamwork and employee empowerment (not only financially), will have more creative, dedicated and productive staff, leading to better outcomes for patients. Finally, they offer important tools for improving the functioning of health organizations (hospitals, clinics) and increasing staff efficiency and can contribute to the selection of appropriate health policies by competent bodies.
