Abstract

This thesis was prepared as part of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the University of Piraeus and focuses on the techno-economic analysis and evaluation of establishing luxury tourist accommodations in the Municipality of Sfakia. Particular emphasis is placed on the selection of the Municipality of Sfakia, which shows strong development potential as a tourist destination with opportunities for further growth. Within the framework of this study, the tourism market of Greece—and more specifically of Crete—is examined, with emphasis on demand, supply, and the competitive environment. At the same time, the identity of the business is defined, along with its strategy, marketing mix, and the main objectives of the investment. Subsequently, the organization and operation of the unit are analyzed, including elements such as costs, human resources, location, and implementation planning. Finally, a financial evaluation of the investment is conducted, with the aim of assessing its long-term viability and profitability.
