The present thesis focuses on the design and development of a 3D mystery solving videogame with
the use of the Unity Engine titled “Zenius Case Files”. The main game mechanic consists of the
interrogation of characters to gather information and solve the mystery. Instead of being provided a
static list of questions when interrogating a character, the player will be able to type any questions
they want, and they will receive responses by a Chatbot. In this way, a scenario in which the limited
number of questions make solving the mystery predictable is avoided and the player is better
immersed in the game’s world.
