The thesis “Educational Approaches in Cloud Computing Courses” examines how cloud computing technologies are transforming learning in higher education. It presents the fundamental service models, their extensions, and highlights the advantages they offer to educational institutions (e.g., flexibility, scalability, and accessibility).
This paper compares the educational programs of major providers (AWS Educate, Microsoft Azure for Education, Google Cloud for Education) in terms of learning environments, credits, services, and opportunities for hands-on labs. It also discusses tools such as CloudLabs, Codio, and GitHub Classroom.
In parallel, the thesis focuses on active learning methods such as Project-Based Learning and Flipped Learning. Virtual laboratories and MOOC platforms enhance participation and interaction, fostering a more collaborative learning environment.
Special emphasis is placed on the challenges related to data security, teacher training, and the environmental footprint of data centers. Furthermore, the study highlights the need for regulatory, technological, and educational measures.
Overall, the research concludes that cloud computing acts as a catalyst for the digital transformation of education, providing accessibility, collaboration, and innovative learning models.
