This postgraduate dissertation examines the development of a comprehensive Digital Folklore Museum, aiming to showcase and highlight Greek cultural heritage within an innovative digital environment. The research adopts an interdisciplinary approach that integrates the humanities with technologies of three-dimensional visualization, semantic modeling, and interactive design within the Unity platform. Folkloric material related to objects, techniques, customs, and narratives was collected and classified. This cultural corpus was subsequently organized into thirteen thematic digital halls. A central theoretical axis of the study is the concept of materiality, which considers objects and spaces as carriers of memory and social meaning. These are elements that the digital environment seeks to translate and render visible. The use of semantic modeling and the ICONIX methodology ensures a structured conceptual system and a coherent user experience throughout the virtual museum. Particular emphasis is placed on the digital reconstruction of the legend of “The Bridge of Arta, where audiovisual media, three-dimensional scenography, and trigger-based interactions are employed to reveal the ritualistic repetition and gendered dimension embedded in the traditional narrative. The resulting digital museum functions as an educational, cultural, and research tool, promoting a new mode of engaging with folklore that transcends the static nature of traditional museological practices. It renders cultural heritage immersive, interactive, and accessible to a wide audience.
