Abstract
In our time, education, economy, and society as a whole are undergoing a digital transformation. In this context, the need for critical and digital literacy looms large and the integration of technology is a challenge for all actors. Educational organisations, especially after the Covid-19 period, have recognized the need and the value of this project. The purpose of this work was the design and implementation of an educational programme related to the "Modern Greek Language and Literature" subject in the final year of High school, through the educational platform “Google Classroom”.
The aim of the programme is the cultivation of multiple literacies in the students and the improvement of their performance at the National Exams. The programme has a total duration of 17 synchronous and mainly asynchronous distance learning hours, it concerns the section "Science and Society", it is addressed to students in the final year of High school and it is an educational proposal that can be implemented across all thematic sections of the course
The programme was designed by using a text-centered approach to the language, modern teaching directions and the possibilities provided by new technologies. The design choices are documented based on contemporary biography and the theoretical principles applied during its design and implementation are analysed. The programme is proposed to be enriched with ChatBot for the immediate and faster resolution of students' queries and the utilisation of Artificial Intelligence for the correction of students' open-response tasks. It is also suggested that the course is presented in sign language to ensure inclusion of deaf students.
