The petroleum and fuels sector remains a cornerstone of global energy supply, critically supporting industrial and transportation systems. However, both the international and Greek economies face acute pressures from fuel shortages and rising costs.
This study focuses on the strategic planning of EKO ABEE, a leading Greek petroleum trading company. It evaluates the company’s strategic approaches within Greece and internationally, highlighting how EKO navigates an increasingly volatile energy landscape.
The research begins by establishing the theoretical foundations of business strategy, addressing key concepts, models, and the distinction between corporate and operational strategy levels. It then examines the broader petroleum sector, analyzing market trends, dominant energy sources, and emerging strategic challenges.
A comprehensive analysis of the Greek and global petroleum markets is presented, with attention to supply-demand dynamics, financial conditions, and the socio-economic impacts of energy price increases, particularly regarding poverty and inequality in Greece.
The core of the study is the in-depth review of EKO ABEE’s strategic development, including its history, activities, financial performance, and competitive positioning. Particular focus is placed on the internal and external factors influencing its strategy and future growth prospects.
The Customer Service Department of EKO ABEE is also assessed, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and proposing strategic improvements aimed at optimizing customer support and satisfaction.
In conclusion, the study offers targeted recommendations to enhance EKO ABEE’s adaptability and efficiency, ensuring its resilience and competitive advantage in a challenging economic environment.
