In recent years, the need to cultivate values and attitudes related to fair play in education has become more urgent than ever, as phenomena such as violence, hooliganism, and doping negatively affect not only sports but also society as a whole. Within this framework, the present master’s thesis, entitled “Cultivating Values and Behaviors of Fair Play Inside and Outside the Field”, focuses on the design, development, and evaluation of a digital course addressed to secondary school students. Its main objective is to foster values and behaviors associated with fair play, both within and beyond the playing field, promoting respect, cooperation, integrity, and responsibility.
The learning outcomes of the digital course aim to enable students to understand and apply the principles of fair play, to raise awareness of issues such as doping and hooliganism, and to guide them in evaluating strategies and actions that strengthen sportsmanship within the school community.
The proposed digital course employed interactive material, multimedia resources, and experiential activities that bridge theory and practice, offering students opportunities to reflect, make decisions in simulation scenarios, and adopt positive behaviors in both sports and everyday life.
This thesis aspires to address an existing pedagogical gap by providing free and easily accessible education in Greek. Through the development and implementation of the proposed digital course, it contributes to cultivating a school culture that promotes fair play and supports the Greek educational community with an innovative learning tool.
