Abstract
This thesis explores the role of green skills, green human resource management (GHRM), and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in shaping employees’ green performance in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the Greek manufacturing sector. In an era where environmental sustainability is a critical priority, the study examines whether companies integrate environmentally responsible practices into their core operations and how these influence employee behavior.
The research follows a quantitative approach using a questionnaire completed by 72 professionals from the sector. The statistical analysis results revealed that environmental CSR has a strong positive impact on green performance, while green HRM and green skills also significantly contribute. Conversely, CSR toward the community, customers, and employees did not show a statistically significant correlation. The study provides practical recommendations for strategic development and emphasizes the need for institutional support and training in order to foster a strong green culture across Greek enterprises.
