Abstract
The aim of the current study was to capture the views of teachers regarding Educational Neuroscience and its implications for Education. An on-line questionnaire was chosen as a research tool, which was created based on international literature. The number of participants was 113 people (19 men, 94 women), who were invited to answer closed-ended questions. The main research questions, which were raised in the present research effort, are the following: a) What do the graduates of pedagogical departments and working teachers know about Neuroscience? and b) What is their opinion regarding the contribution of Neuroscience to the educational process? According to the findings of this study, which converge with similar international research, we conclude that the partnership of Neurosciences with Education is of vital importance for the field of Education. Therefore, neuroscientific literacy of teachers is considered inevitable.
