This master thesis aims to examine emotional intelligence and leadership in hospital management. These two concepts are highly related. Emotional intelligence plays a critical role in effective leadership, providing a framework for leaders to approach interpersonal relationships and make decisions in a variety of contexts. Emotional intelligence refers to the ability to identify, understand, manage and reason about emotions effectively in oneself and others. Leadership is a multidimensional construct characterized by the ability to influence, motivate, and enable others to contribute to the effectiveness and success of the organizations of which they are members. One of the key advances that Emotional Intelligence has made is that it can be applied in various fields. Thus, the application of EI in administrative positions in organizations, in governments and local self-government, in state structures, in education, health, etc. is being studied. Leadership in the hospital sector is critical not only for effective management of healthcare services but also for improving quality of care, patient satisfaction, staff engagement and overall organizational performance aimed at quality services. The purpose of the present approach is to study HF in managers in the hospital units of our country. The results showed that the sample places great emphasis on emotional awareness, both for themselves and their subordinates. They use various techniques to manage their emotions and recognize the importance of being sensitive to the emotional states of others. Self-assessment and continuous improvement are considered vital for personal and professional development, while effective leadership is closely linked to the ability to control and understand emotions. Overall, empathy, emotional intelligence, and proactive support are identified as critical elements of successful leadership in healthcare settings.
