This paper focuses on the development of a skills workshop addressing school violence and bullying, aiming to enhance students' critical thinking, empathy, and collaboration. Utilizing Harvard's "Thinking Routines" techniques and dialogue tools, the workshop offers a multidimensional approach to preventing and addressing violence in the school environment. Through simulations, role-playing, and digital tools, students cultivate social and emotional skills, strengthening their ability to recognize and manage incidents of violence. The paper also provides a critical review of the methods used and suggests future improvements for expanding the program.
The workshop seeks to create a safe and supportive environment where students can freely express themselves and explore the consequences of violence and bullying for both perpetrators and victims. The simulations and role-playing activities, which are key components of the workshop, give students the opportunity to experience various situations and develop empathy by understanding the feelings of others.
Furthermore, the use of digital tools, such as interactive applications and online platforms, makes the workshop more accessible and engaging for students, increasing their involvement in the learning process. Finally, the paper examines the outcomes of the applied methods, offering suggestions for improving and expanding the program to address even more needs and challenges related to school violence and bullying.
In conclusion, this workshop aims to serve as a dynamic tool in education, not only enhancing students' understanding of social issues like violence and bullying but also equipping them with the necessary skills to address these challenges with confidence and empathy.
