Teleworking has grown rapidly due to the Covid-19 pandemic and is a model that is steadily gaining ground due to the advantages it presents for both employers and employees.
This disorderly, in a way, transition to the new way of working, that is working without the required training in health and safety issues, enhancing essential skills at the same time, raises worries and concerns which this thesis deals with.
It seeks to explore whether a distance learning programme utilising digital tools is feasible to train remote workers so that they can take the necessary health and safety measures in the digital age. It also explores whether the 4Cs: Communication, Collaboration, Critical thinking and Creativity, which are considered essential skills in the 21st century, can be enhanced.
This e-course, which is based on Kolb's Experiential Learning Theory, tries to contemplate whether adapting the educational material to the learning style of each learner can satisfy the learners by contributing to the enhancement of their knowledge and self-efficacy.
This thesis aspires to contribute to the effective training of teleworkers so that they can be healthy and safe in their digital work environment, which are UNESCO goals.
