This thesis focuses on the exploration and implementation of motivational strategies in the workplace based on the Self-Determination Theory (SDT). The aim is to increase productivity and improve employee performance by understanding and implementing motivational strategies that focus on the three basic human needs according to the theory: Autonomy, Competence, Relatedness.
The study focuses on the need to enhance employee motivation in an ever-changing and demanding work environment. Many companies nowadays face difficulties in maintaining a high level of productivity due to lack of motivation, which leads to lower performance and consequently increased staff turnover.
In order to achieve the above objective, the online environment of the Wix platform was utilized, and an eCourse was designed and implemented to train employees in companies, and more specifically Human Resource (HR) professionals, in enhancing productivity and motivation in the workplace by applying the principles of Self-Determination Theory.
The methodology of the study includes quantitative data analysis to assess the effectiveness of the eCourse. Performance evaluation was conducted through a final questionnaire completed by the participants to analyze the impact of the training program on enhancing motivation and thus productivity in the workplace.
