The present thesis focuses on the development of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) aimed at enhancing the skills of kindergarten teachers in understanding and applying rhythmic musical patterns in their teaching practice. Music, as a universal language, is a powerful tool for children's development, promoting creativity, expression, and communication. Research shows that music education in early childhood offers multiple benefits for brain development, enhancing skills such as memory, concentration, and language. In this context, kindergarten teachers, through music, have the opportunity to promote children's development both cognitively and socially. Their training in music can positively contribute to this direction.
The MOOC provides a flexible and accessible training platform, allowing kindergarten teachers to improve their musical skills with rhythmic patterns. Through a series of theoretical lessons and practical exercises, participants will learn how to apply musical patterns in their daily teaching practice. The program aligns with UNESCO's goals for quality education and reducing inequalities, promoting gender equality and offering training opportunities to all educators.
The appendix includes the full content of the MOOC, which is structured into modules, each focusing on specific learning outcomes. The assessment tools include multiple-choice questions, self-assessment activities, and quizzes, which help reinforce the material. The MOOC offers participants the opportunity to apply their new knowledge in educational practice, enhancing the overall quality of early childhood education.
