The ancient port of Aegina, which dates back to the Archaic Era (6th century BC), is a unique monument of high importance. The need for protection, maintenance and designation is great, as this archaeological site is located in the most central part of the island, close to the modern commercial port and a large portion of the world meets up with the archaeological submerged remains and coexists with them on a daily basis, often without knowing their existence and importance. Through the 3D applications and the virtual reality applications,the possibility of a live documentation of these remains and their depiction in natural size is given, in such a way that the visitor, using these applications, feels that he is in the ancient port in its heyday and learns information about it from a virtual tour guide. Through this very realistic experience, users will be able to learn about this ancient complex and become members of the need for its protection and utilization.
