This thesis is about the analysis of the financial statements of Dynagas LTD over the last five years. In the first part there is an extensive analysis of the oil crises that the world has gone through and how they have affected the shipping industry both globally and in Greece. In addition, reference is made to the pandemic of covid-19 and how it affected shipping in Greece and globally.
The following is an analysis of the methodology used and the time period chosen to examine the company's performance. Five categories of indicators are analyzed the liquidity indicators , the efficiency indicators , the profitability indicators and the activity indicators . Liquidity ratios that show the measure of a firm's liquidity and the margin of safety to be able to meet the payment of daily payables. The more predictable a firm's cash inflows are, the more generally acceptable a lower ratio is. Efficiency ratios that show the relationship between the firm's earnings and its capital. That is, data from both the income statement and the balance sheet are used. The efficiency ratios that relate to the return on the firm's own funds .In other words, this category of ratios determines the ability of the firm to generate a positive or negative result at the end of the financial year.
The following is the History of Dynagas LTD, how it was founded and how it developed with its listing on the Stock Exchange. Also mentioned are the sources of the company's revenue and also a few words about LNG which is the fuel that its ships carry . In addition, the categories of indicators mentioned above are calculated and represented graphically.
