With the ever-increasing use of the internet, more and more people have obtained smart devices in order to take advantage of its capabilities so they will upgrade their daily lives. This dissertation initially makes a reference to the world of applications on mobile phones and more specifically to android, while the next chapter gathers all the necessary information about the implementation of an application with personalized series suggestions and the capability of user interaction. From the conception of the idea and the analysis of the requirements to the selection of the data source, the development process is analyzed step by step.
Finally, the application developed in the context of this dissertation is presented and there are suggestions for further development of the application later on. This dissertation led to gain useful knowledge regarding the android operating system both in theoretical and practical level, by using the latest trends and technologies in the market.
